Duties & Responsibilities
|
• Standards Minimum Downtimes of the systems, keeping them up to date and configuration as required.
• Standards Minimum Downtimes of the DB servers, carrying out administrative tasks (creating, backing up, restoring etc.) efficiently.
• Standards Minimum downtimes of Internet lines, efficient troubleshooting (including coordinating with ISPs), and optimizing the bandwidth (monitoring and managing).
• Standards Effective ICT security measures. (Firewall/VPN policies) and minimum downtime.
• Standards Efficient and effective hardware acquisition.
• Standards cabling done with industry standards according to requirements.
• Standards Responding to RT – tickets quickly, to complete the task with minimum disturbance to user and to update RT with spent time for the issue.
• Standards Effective and speedier solutions to network/systems related issues at client sites.
• Standards Optimal hardware configurations, bandwidth utilization reports of HR system.
• Standards Low cost systems which Improves efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes.

Experience & Qualifications
|
• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• MCSA/MCSE, Cisco Certification (CCNA), RHCT
• Experience in .Net programming, SQL Server, ORACLE, Crystal Report, Visual Basic
• Experience in RDBMS
|

Skills & Personal Characteristics

• Windows Active Directory/Domain Administration
• Linux/Unix administration
• Basic Database Administration (MSSql, Oracle, DB2, MySQL)
• Internet Line (Leased Line/ADSL) maintenance and bandwidth management
• Firewall/VPN (Linux/Hardware), proxy (Linux) and WAP administration
• Structured Cabling
• Open Source mail server administration
• Excellent Network/Systems Troubleshooting skills (Windows, Linux) and Desktop Support in a development environment.
• Ability to work with open source systems
• Managing Backups
• Anti Virus Systems Administration
• Ability to work with various Microsoft systems (WSUS, SMS, VSS, IIS)
