hDirect – Content Delivery Platform came under, media and entertainment category as it offers mobile users with an extensive range of ring tones, JAVA games, Animated Screensavers, Greeting Cards, Weather, Astrological and Sports information.
We are pleased that hDirect – Content Delivery Platform was acknowledged by BSC for this award. hDirect enables telcos to provide rich mobile content while protecting 3rd party content providers with appropriate rights for the content they offer. hDirect content offers an extensive range of ring tones both monophonic and polyphonic ranging from oldies to latest Jazz, HipHop, R&B, RAP, and Techno, excitingly addictive games on JAVA enable mobiles and rich images for wallpapers. The content is customized to fit many handsets (device specific content) available in the mobile market. Using the PIN number of hDirect prepaid cards, mobile users can access the WAP portal with their mobile phone to download content of their choice.
3rd party content providers are given a web portal which enables them to monitor their products’ (content) movements/downloads and provides them with the relevant monitory value or the revenue generated.
hDirect allows network providers to deliver mobile content to their subscribers over WAP. It also provides the benefit of reducing inconvenience and the troublesome nature in handling 3rd party content providers and collecting the content in the required format, which would be compatible with the wide range of mobile handsets. Allowing the telcos to attract and offer their mobile subscribers with unique, striking and quality content is one of the incomparable features that hDirect possess. Originality or the concept of implementation lies on the combination of prepaid card system and mobile content download system, used in developing hDirect.
