  hSenid Rewards Swimming Record Breaker
 

Colombo, Sri Lanka 02nd February 2007. By Keeping to their promise hSenid Software International, the global software solution provider in Mobile solutions, Business Solutions and software outsourcing services recently rewarded the young Sri Lankan Swimmer Heshan Unamboowe for his performance at the recently concluded Asian Games 2006 at Doha.

Heshan was one of the individuals who represented the country in the 2006 Asian Games held in Doha and he managed to triumph above the rest and break two national records in the 100m Freestyle by completing it with a timing of 55.02 seconds and the 50 metre backstroke in 28.57 seconds. Apart from this recent achievement he has a number of records and titles to his name.

A past pupil of Dharmaraja College, Kandy, and at present from Trinity College, Heshan had improved his ability for swimming under the guidance of Mr. E.G.A Wilson. The youngster who began his swimming career at the tender age of four has progressed immensely throughout the past few years. He had won the National Pentathlon Championship for seven consecutive years and the Junior National Championship for three consecutive years. He also emerged as winner of the National Age Group Championship for seven consecutive years. He also grabbed a silver medal for the 4x100 medley relay and four bronze at the 10th South Asian Games 2006. All together he holds over 60 national, international and age group records.

Last year hSenid Software International came forward to sponsor the swimming team representing the country at the Asian Games 2006. As the sponsor, hSenid promised to reward the Sri Lankan team for their performance at the games. A cash prize of USD 200 for breaking any national swimming record was to be awarded and the lucky winner Heshan Unamboowe Managed to walk away with a cash prize of USD 400 on the 2nd of February 2007.
