Globe Innovation Convention 2008 is yet another initiative by Globe Telecom which will be held on the 6th and 7th of August 2008 at the EDSA Shangri-La. The conference theme will be "Enriching Lives Through Innovative Communications" , which encapsulates Globe’s interests on how innovations using the different evolving technologies can be of real value to existing and new customers by:

o Lowering the cost or improving the quality of Globe's existing services

o Making services easier and more relevant to use

o Creating new services applicable to the Philippine consumer and business markets across mobile, broadband, and multimedia technologies.

This event promises to be an extensive innovation convention including the full range of parties in the telecommunications innovation ecosystem: Globe Telecom, Technology Partners, ISVs/Developer companies, Academe, and Freelance Developers.

Globe Telecom is also planning to Launch Globe Labs on the 7th August 2008, an initiative aimed at addressing perennial challengers for developers: lack of technical resources and a ready player in Globe that can carry these applications. Globe is also looking at partnering with technology vendors in offering ready support for developers. This will enable Globe to attract more developers and produce commercially-viable applications such as location-based services (LBS), mobile advertising and RFID.

Mr. Dinesh Saparamadu, CEO hSenid Software International will be addressing the Globe Innovation Convention on the 6th August from 3.40pm to 4.20pm on effectively applying Loyalty schemes to each market segment in the Philippines and to explore the benefits of USSD for the OFW
